CHANGE TO RULE 3.1 (b)
Delete current wording and
replace with:
(b) The Secretary shall conduct all correspondence
between the Club and other organisations, businesses
CHANGES TO RULE 3.4
Paragraph 2
Reference to “Youth Officer”
to be removed and replaced with “Senior Dinghy Instructor”.
Paragraph 2 sub
heading Sailing Sub-Committee will now read;
The Sailing Sub-Committee shall consist of the Sailing
Secretary, a Registered Training Establishment Principal, a SWSA
Representative, a Cruiser Representative, a Senior Dinghy Instructor, a
Coxswain and a Dinghy Representative.
Paragraph 4, 5 and 6
Remove the sub heading “Youth Sub Committee” and delete the three
paragraphs that follow.
CHANGE TO RULE 5.2
Under sub heading - Cadet
Member
Remove “facilities designated
and approved by the Youth Officer” and
replace with “facilities under the control
This paragraph will now read:
Cadet Member – being a person, who at the date of
election, is under the age of eighteen or in full time education, shall have use of
those Club facilities under the control of the Sailing Sub-Committee.
NEW PARAGRAPH – 3.12
Insert new paragraph
Webmaster 3.12 - The Webmaster shall
maintain the Club website under the direction and guidance of the Publicity
Officer. The Webmaster shall be legally responsible for the content of
RULE 5.14
Rule 5.14 was introduced at
the AGM in October 2008 and changed the way that members could be reinstated.
The wording of this rule change
claimed that it overrode the re-instatement of members under rules 5.3, 5.6 and 5.12. However, in amending the rule book the new
Committee formed the opinion that rules 5.3, 5.6, and 5.12 should stand. The
EGM decided that these rules should stand.
CHANGE TO RULE 5.2
After the first sentence
insert “Persons who become partners of existing full members will not be exempt
from
The first paragraph of rule
5.2 will now read:
There shall be the following categories of membership
with power to vote at all meetings of the Club as indicated in 5.4. Persons who
become partners of existing full members will not be exempt from serving the
probationary period of one year prior to being accepted as a full member. The
rights and privileges of each category of members are defined in the latest
edition of the bylaws of the Club.
