Starting
on the first Monday in March we are going to run a maintenance meeting for all
you retired or erstwhile volunteers to come along and get stuck into some of
the maintenance jobs that want doing around the Club. Turn up around 10.30 and we can sort out what
wants doing over a cup of coffee and you can decide how you can help.
The
sort of things that want doing range from prepping the Tenders for the season
to making a start on “Cybil”, sorting
the shed out “around Cybil”, how to
restore the floor in front of the bar, repairing the “woodwormed” window frames in the club house to restoring
the rotting timbers in the veranda and
so on. It is worth mentioning to you
members that the terms of our lease with The NFDC. Is “All Repairing” which
means we are responsible for repairing everything inside and out, even the
corroding brickwork. So it’s time to pull your fingers out folks and make this
club what you would like it to be.
