Visiting Eling Sailing Club

Eling Sailing Club welcomes visitors by land or sea, and as Eling Creek can be tricky these following pictures are a guide to help you find you way to the pontoons. If visiting by road follow the Brown tourist road signs for Eling Tide Mill, Eling Sailing Club is situated in half of the mill building.

On approach to eling after passing the container ports and picked up the start of the channel, standard red/green posts (be mindfull shallows off a bit outside entrance) keep greens on your starboard side. follow on until reaching bend to creek turn to Port and stay about 3 mtrs from quay wall(beside containers).

You will see a slipway to starboard, and some parked craft, aim to pass astern of these with about 2 meters clearance.

As you clear these boats, forward and to port is a pole pass that to port (keep it on left hand side).

You should be about to pass first pole pass it down your port side. centralise yourself between poles on left hand side and stern of parked boats, cut speed down to a minimum and you will see pontoon on starboard side by club compound wall, noticable by long ramp.immediatly in front of Eling Tide Mill.

The pontoon on the starboard side can accomodate up to 6 boats and is accessed by the club's compound. 

On port side you can see floating pontoon, ideal for coming alongside if pontoon on starboard side is full.
